How Chelsea could line up against Fulham based on Real Madrid draw

After a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid, Chelsea will go into their second leg with the away goal advantage.

However, before they can get to that, the Blues must deal with the challenge of Fulham and some rotation will be necessary for the game.

Defence

After playing against West Ham as well as Real Madrid, Thiago Silva absolutely needs to be rested, so Kurt Zouma could come in for the Brazilian.

Christensen and Rudiger will have to continue, with Azpilicueta also taking a well-deserved rest.

Ben Chilwell has been excellent but this game could be ideal for Marcos Alonso, with Reece James starting on the right flank.

Midfield

N'Golo Kante bossed the game against Real Madrid as only he can and shouldn't be played too much as Chelsea will need him sorely in the second leg.

In his absence, starting Billy Gilmour alongside the consistent Jorginho could be a good idea for the Blues.

Attack

Mason Mount has an incredible engine but even he needs to be given some time off to avoid burnout. Thankfully Chelsea have quite the riches in attack and Tammy Abraham could start with Werner given some time out of the side.

Hakim Ziyech could come in for a start as well with the impressive Christian Pulisic saved for the second leg.

CFC XI: Mendy, Rudiger, Christensen, Zouma, Alonso, Jorginho, Gilmour, James, Ziyech, Havertz, Abraham
