In the post-match interview after beating Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, Stefano Pioli said: "We want to buy [Fikayo] Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea.
"Our intention is clear and also Fikayo's decision [to stay at AC Milan]. We'll see what happens at the end of the season."
The Chelsea loanee has played 14 times for Milan in the Serie A this term and even scored in the recent 3-0 win over Juve.
Tomori's loan deal includes an option to sign permanently for the Rossoneri - provided they pay £25 million.
