Frank Lampard and his agents are speaking with Crystal Palace over having him replace Roy Hodgson as their manager next season, as per Fabrizio Romano.
It’s said that talks are progressing between the parties and there’s a distinct possibility that the former Chelsea manager takes over the London rivals next season.
Palace are looking into signing Slavia Prague forward Abdallah Sima in the summer and even if that is done, Lampard should be appointed as their next boss.
Lampard was fired by the Blues in January for not meeting expectations and replaced with Thomas Tuchel – who helped them qualify for the FA Cup and Champions League finals.
Hodgson has been Palace’s manager since 2017 but could be replaced with a younger manager in Lampard to help them fight for a top-10 finish in the Premier League next season.
