'Honeymoon is over!': Fan tips 2 Chelsea players to have much less game time in 2021/22

"The new season is gonna be tough for the players," Tribuna.com Chelsea user Serr Tee wrote in the comments to the post about 3 ways for the Blues to sort out their attack.

"Teams are going to come hard at us, and Thomas Tuchel is aware of that. Being champions and maintaining that is a huge task for every coach. That’s why we need quality players to augment this current squad.

"Players like Mount and Werner are not going to enjoy enough playing time like the season past. Especially Mason Mount: the overhype is not going to compel Tuchel from doing the right thing this time around.

"The honey moon is over for the players and the coach. Now it’s time for real business. With Haaland and Hakimi alone, the expectation is going to be high."

Last season, Timo Werner registered 52 appearances in all competitions marked by 12 goals and 15 assists spending 73.5 mins on the pitch on average.

Mason Mount, with 56 games, 9 goals and 9 assists in all competitions, averaged 78.5 mins on the pitch.

But it's not just about their numbers. Both players seem to be really important for Tuchel's system. They proved their worth in numerous games throughout the season, including the Champions League final where both participated in the attack that finished with Kai Havertz's winner.

Do you agree that Mason and Timo need to face tougher competition or do you back them to remain regular starters next season? Voice your opinion in the comments!
