Chelsea's contract negotiations with Antonio Rudiger aren't progressing too well, according to The Athletic.
The 28-year-old centre-back isn't any closer to signing a new deal, with his current one expiring at the end of the coming season.
Rudiger could leave as a free agent then, which would help him get what would likely be the last huge contract of his career.
According to the report, the German is looking for a 4-year deal, which Chelsea might be reluctant to give him.
With a number of players on the team being paid significantly more than Rudiger currently, the length of the deal isn't the only thing that matters.
Rudiger has been a key cog in the team since Thomas Tuchel's arrival and his leadership has also improved greatly along with his game.
Do you think Chelsea should give Rudiger a 4-year-deal?
