For the first time since November 2018, Cesar Azpilicueta has been named in Spain's starting XI for the key Euro 2020 clash against Slovakia.

The Chelsea captain is featuring on the right of a back four, a role that he hasn't effectively performed in the second part of the season.

Still, the Chelsea fans are naturally excited for him, as the fact that he was benched for the first two games was already puzzling enough.

@_ShuBhamCFC (Twitter): "Delighted for our skipper to start for his country #Esp today. After 2017-18, I thought that was it for Azpi and Spain because he doesn't fit into that technical gameplay vibe but our guy worked hard, never thought about retiring and now he's here. Big match for him!"

chelski365 (Reddit): "Azpi and Morata on the same pitch... we know what happens here!"

@CFCstrongheader (Twitter): "Azpi staring for Spain this evening. When the matter turns to crunch, you have to find Azpi. My Capitano."

c_frank (Reddit): "Dave to score a hattrick."

@_Petizzy (Twitter): "Azpilicueta finally getting to start for Spain. Love to see it."
