According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Broja will sign a new contract with the club, with an official announcement imminent. 

The 19-year-old will be signed to a long-term deal that will keep him on 

Furthermore, the report states that Broja will be part of the first-team picture throughout pre-season as the Blues. 

The Albanian managed to score in Chelsea's first pre-season friendly against 

 - that's surely a sign of good things to come ahead!

“The Eredivisie is a good league and a lot of top strikers have started off there. It motivated me to try to replicate what they did. 

“I spoke with Mason. He said it was an amazing place to develop. He was explaining how he didn’t play in the first few months and found it difficult.”

According to Broja, Mount said: “You have to man up quite quickly, you’re living on your own in a different country.

“You’re not going to have your parents to rely on. You’ve got to step up because you’re playing men’s football. You have to ask more from yourself.”

Broja has scored 9 goals in the Eredivisie and while he is 19 years old, he seems to be the next prospect that could come out of Chelsea's youth system. 

This is also an excellent example of Mason Mount's leadership qualities and a good example of why he's being backed for the captaincy.
