Chelsea will make another attempt to sign Jules Kounde in January if they get an indication that Sevilla are ready to lower their demands, according to ESPN.
As per the report, the Blues had reached an agreement with the Spanish club for a deal in the region of €50m plus add-ons.
However, In the final days of the window, Sevilla demanded an €80m release clause to be paid in full.

Such a U-turn left Chelsea bemused, but they would be willing to go again if Sevilla were to revive the talks at a reduced fee.
Kounde himself will happily join Chelsea and already has agreed in principle a long-term deal with the Blues.
