Chelsea plot new contracts for 3 key players after finalising Rudiger and Christensen deals (reliability: 4 stars)

Chelsea are planning to offer new deals to Jorginho, N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount after they finalise the agreements with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, the Evening Standard reports.

The Dane centre-back is close to signing a long-term contract worth around £120,000-a-week.

Rudiger's situation, however, is not as certain, as he is in no hurry to agree to Chelsea's proposal. The 28-year-old's current deal expires next year.

Jorginho and Kante might see their contracts expire in 2023 which is why they are next on the list of the club's priorities.

As for Mount, he is one of the lowest-paid first-team players at the club. He established himself as a regular starter for club and country after signing his last deal in 2019.
