Chelsea want Hazard back as Eden 'fed up' with Madrid

El Nacional, a Spanish media outlet, is running a story about Chelsea potentially re-signing Eden Hazard.

The paper claims that the Blues could invest €40m to get the Belgian back as Roman Abramovich remains a huge fan of the player.

Eden himself is 'fed up' with Real Madrid as he has had a shockingly bad experience there. He wants to return to Chelsea where he played his best football.

Real Madrid are willing to make the deal happen, too. They see signing Hazard as a 'historic mistake', wasting €100m on a player who has barely contributed anything in his three seasons at the Bernabeu.

Madrid understand Chelsea's interest could be the only opportunity to recoup at least a part of their huge investment in Eden.

The source also claims that Reece James could go to Spain in an exchange deal for Hazard.

Note that this story should be taken with a pinch of salt. The rumour comes from El Nacional, a Catalan news outlet. Madrid-based papers such as Marca and Diario AS have not confirmed the rumour and neither have reliable English sources such as the Guardian or the Athletic.
