Ruben Loftus-Cheek was again a starter as Chelsea picked up an important victory against Malmo.
This is a huge development for the Englishman as he is finally making his comeback at the highest level after struggling with injury early in his career.
“I feel good physically and mentally I’ve left my injury behind,” he said, as per the Evening Standard.
“It doesn’t even come into my head now. I’m playing freely and I can concentrate on football and football only so I’m in a good place.
“I’ll try to keep developing. I’m grateful for the time on the pitch that I have and I’ll just keep giving my best.”
Loftus-Cheek suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in 2019, an injury that kept him out for nearly a year and led to a few more niggles along the way.
