 defenders who are not on his level, and are still earning a lot more. A footballers career is a short career, so it is best to get the best contract for yourself. 

"I love Chelsea and I also believe that no player is bigger than the club, but if Rudiger feels that his contract offer is being undervalued, then he has every right to go elsewhere, where he can get what he believes that he is worth."

The defender will be free to sign a pre-contract with any foreign club in January, so Chelsea must act fast if they want to retain one of their best players.

I’m sorry the team can’t bent to his request, he should also consider and reduce his asking salary while the team add a little to what they offer him right now, Azpl have spent like 8 years with the team how many times I’ve you heard him and the board have any issues?
Because he’s in great form doesn’t mean he’ll be dictating for the team more Dias got rated ahead of him how much is the guy earning at Man city?

Yes, you said it right! We're not saying the club should meet exactly what he's asking for, but I think if Chelsea could get a bit closer to his demand.....he's a human, he might listen if it goes a bit better

1. Better not to even talk about City wages where Grealish earns 300k and Stones 250k. They've also doubled Dias's salary to around 150k with performance based bonus obviously due to his superb form last season.

2. I strongly believe it's the form and future prospect that should determine wages only not their position. Moreover, it's said that good attacking line wins u matches but its good defs line that wins you titles and in Chelsea's case especially it can't be any truer considering the past title runs. Doesn't make sense to score 2 when you concede 3. The solid back 3 + superb Mendy is the only reason why Chelsea Fullbacks like Reece James, Alonso and Chilwell has exponentially stepped up their offensive games this last 1-2 seasons.

3. I'm 100% sure, had Rudiger been an English def, he would have been offered even 300k easily with his form. Just tell me 1 single PL CB better than him currently.

rubbish, think other side before you talk abeg, did John Terry gets $200 Gary, David Luiz, Ivanovich, Cole, not to talk of Ramirez, Essen, Ballack many of them who leaves their hearts on the pitch, no one of em cry for money okay, you talking about if it was an English player, for Mason why don't they offer him much? let stop all this thinking, we don't know what's really going on under. I don't mean to be rude was just frustrated people be thinking one side.

As I've always been saying, Kante, Rudiger and Mendy are the most consistent Chelsea players this past 1-2 seasons with the latter 2 at their prime and I see absolutely no reason why Chelsea board are hell bent on not ready to offer Rudiger his asking salary of 200k especially considering the fact that Werner and Lukaku earns 270k and 325k respectively.

If reports were to be believed, their offering of no more than 150k to Rudiger is an insult to his surreal recent forms especially when even Pulisic, Kovacic, Kepa, Havertz, Saul etc earns at least 150k and are barely even moderately consistent. Right now, leave alone Chelsea players, Rudiger is one of the best CBs in the league in par with VVD. He's strong, good in air, offensive and passionate.

The contract renewal is more important in his case especially when we let go off Zouma and Tomori without any major replacement. Chalobah seems promising but is yet to be tested for enough time. That leaves us to only Thiago Silva and Christensen as proper CB if Rudi leaves for clubs offering 2-3x more than that by Chelsea. And TT's fav 5 defs formation demands extensive use of CBs with 3 CB and 2 fullbacks/Wingbacks
