It was quite a nerve-wracking experience for Chelsea and their fans on Wednesday night as they were lucky to take three points at Vicarage Road.
Here are some episodes from the game against Watford you might have missed.
Alonso sloppy from kick-off
The very first minute of the game was quite foreboding for the Blues. Here, we see Marcos Alonso receive the ball for the first time in the match...
...before he was closed in on and tackled from behind after a sloppy first touch.
Chalobah blocks Watford's first attempt
That theme continued in the following minutes. Here, we see Tom Cleverley outmuscling Alonso and aiming a low cross into the box.
The shot was not the best (and might have even gone wide), but Chalobah still put himself on the line.
Mendy saves Azpilicueta from embarrasssment
Just minutes later, Femenia sends yet another cross into Chelsea's box - of course, from Alonso's wing:
The tussle in the box results in the ball ricocheting off Azpilicueta's hip - Mendy needs to stretch out to save the captain from an own goal.
Tuchel fuming on touchline
Needless to say, the manager was not at all pleased with what he saw yesterday. He was seen berating his own players as early as in the eighth minute.
He then made a curious gesture while Edouard Mendy was receiving treatment. Whether he was asking his players to take a break or the referee to add those minutes to the injury time, we're not sure.
Pulisic waits for too long
Chelsea had a great chance to double their lead at the end of the first half. Their counter-attack started with Saul's tackle. The ball fell conveniently to Pulisic, with Havertz spriting alongside him.
Havertz got himself in a good position but Pulisic waited and waited - and when he made th pass it was too late as Havertz strayed offside. The German scored, but the goal never stood.
Mendy scares Cleverly in one-on-one duel
In the 57th minute, Chelsea were exposed through the middle as Tom Cleverley, of all people, had a clear run at the Blues' goal.
Unfortunately for him, Mendy read the situation well and rushed forward to sweep. Cleverly was so intimidated by the keeper that he stumbled and fell over him before even losing the ball.
