Reece and Lukaku to start? Select best XI for West Ham clash from 2 options

Chelsea narrowly escaped with a win against Watford and will now travel within London to face local rivals West Ham tomorrow.

The Hammers are currently fourth in the Premier League table and this isn't a game that can be taken lightly by Thomas Tuchel's men.

The manager has ruled N'Golo Kante and Trevoh Chalobah out for this game, with long-term absentees Mateo Kovacic and Ben Chilwell not fit either.

Wit that in mind, here are 2 options the gaffer can choose to play tomorrow:

Option 1: Reece, Lukaku back in

Romelu Lukaku was brought on from the bench in the last game as he continues to recover from his injury. However, the strong centre-forward will be fit to start this game and his physicality and prowess in the air could be necessary against West Ham.

Reece James and Jorginho return to the starting XI too, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek holding his place in central midfield. Pulisic-Mount-Lukaku is a great attacking trio that should do well against the Hammers.

Option 2: Werner starts, Mount in midfield pivot

Timo Werner was an unused substitute in the last game. His pace and run in behinds the defence could trouble West Ham, who have failed to win either of their last 3 league games.

Mount moves back to sitting next to Jorginho. On paper, this pivot can work given their work rate and passing skills. Hudson-Odoi and Havertz sit behind Werner; their dribbling and creativity could open up spaces for the German striker.
