Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill has been impressing on loan with Huddersfield and the 18-year-old centre-back spoke about Thiago Silva's influence on his game.
“I think it was Thiago [I looked up to when I was younger] because he wasn’t the biggest, he wasn’t the strongest and he maybe wasn’t the fastest, but mentally he was always steps ahead,” Colwill told Football London.
“You can tell when he’s on the ball, everything looks so simple to him. He makes it all look effortless.
“So I’ve always looked up to him and I got to speak to him – and most of the players – when I trained. They’re all good guys.”
Colwill now faces a hectic phase with Huddersfield as they make a push to get into the playoff spots in the Championship.
With Chelsea's centre-back future looking uncertain, an impressive loan spell could be a ticket for someone like Colwill to find his place at Chelsea.
