We know that Thomas Tuchel has asked us not to get 'super overwhelmed' with Lewis Hall, but the 17-year-old was indeed Chelsea's Man of the Match in their 5-1 win over Chesterfield.
Here are just a few episodes from his display that show that he played a key role, both defensively and offensively.
Launching attack for first goal
Hall's interception and pass to Mateo Kovacic started the attack that ended with Timo Werner's tap-in.
Solid defending in the box
The visitors looked to exploit Hall's lack of experience at a set-piece by launching the ball into his area of responsibility.
However, he did well enough to put just enough pressure on his opponent not to concede a foul and make the ball go out for a goal kick - something that some more experienced defenders can't always do.
Channeling inner Rudiger
At the academy, Hall regularly played as a midfielder or a left-back. Almost as importantly, he was effectively replacing Antonio Rudiger on the day - so of course, he would go on a crazy run - and make a good pass to Lukaku, too!
