Fan points out what 'first step towards being elite again' is for Chelsea as massive summer looms ahead

Thomas Tuchel believes Chelsea will need a "facelift" to succeed next season as the club is still waiting for the new owners to arrive. The first task that will face these new owners is deciding who to buy and sell in the summer transfer window.

And as per one fan, the club's sale of players will be the 'first step' towards success for the club.

ExpectedChelsea writes on Twitter: "More than incomings, I'm excited about getting rid of certain first team players this summer. It's the first step we need to take towards being elite again.

"Our squad has do many players we should've gotten rid long ago. It's time we made a full reset.

"The reason why so many players are still here is managerial miracles from Conte and Tuchel.

"Now that Tuchel is making a ton of mistakes but has enough credit to not get sacked, the low-level players are being exposed on a weekly basis. We won't miss top 4 [this season] either."

The Blues have a very big squad but the fan is right as we do need to get rid of some deadweight players such as Ross Barkley while other major decisions loom ahead. These include who to get rid of, with Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic all on the chopping block.
