 final for the first time since 2012. The last time they were at this stage, it was Chelsea who stopped them in our Champions League-winning season.

Roberto Di Matteo's Chelsea team took the stage at Wembley and were successful in beating Steven Gerrard's Liverpool 2-1.

Ramires opened the scoring for Chelsea before Didier Drogba finished things off with a brilliant goal. Andy Carroll scored late but it was irrelevant as the Blues held on to win the FA Cup.

'We cannot focus on one single point': Tuchel previews FA Cup final as he expects a fight against Liverpool

Thomas Tuchel referred to the two draws against 

 final tonight: "It will be a close game, a fight. Anything else will surprise me.

"It started with last season’s win at Anfield and very early in this season with a draw at Anfield, then a draw at Stamford Bridge and then a draw over 120 minutes and 20-something penalties.

"So very close matches, very intense matches and we needed always our very highest level to compete. But we found it in the matches and I don’t expect crazy new things from them, and actually also not from us. So the game is on tomorrow, it’s a big final, a big competition and we want to be spot on."

Tuchel added: "You have to be spot on in these kinds of matches, which were such close matches lately with decisions, sometimes red cards, sometimes a big mistake. We came back at Stamford Bridge, they came back at Anfield with a penalty and we had to dig in with 10 men. So a lot of different stories.

"That’s why I think we cannot focus on one single point, but it will be down to margins and it will be down to details within the match. 

"We are facing one of the very best coaches and one of the very best teams in the world right now, this is obvious and proven over the last years and recent weeks, and we are up for the fight."

The Premier League games ended in a 1-1 and 2-2 draw, with the League Cup final ending in dismay for Chelsea as they lost on penalties. It should be a close game today and hopefully, Tuchel and his men can win the title.

'I can play both': Tuchel opens up on choice between Lukaku and Havertz

 was more likely to start against Liverpool.

"I can play both, although they lacked a bit of a perfect fit together," Tuchel responded, as per the 

"It’s very likely that’s it’s one of the two but we will not give the line-up today.

"Romelu played and scored lately, he did everything to stay on the pitch and it will be our final call tomorrow morning."

It looks like the FA Cup final is not time for experiments which is why only one of Lukaku and Havertz will start on Saturday.

The Belgian scored three goals in the last two games, while the younger forward has not scored for over a month but has been a big-game player for the Blues since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
