What Chelsea's defence would look like if club completes rumoured overhaul

Chelsea are said to be interested in signing both Jules Kounde and Presnel Kimpembe. Landing both players would reportedly trigger a Levi Colwill exit as the youngster wants more playing time.

Meanwhile, Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta are linked with moves to Barcelona.

So here is what Chelsea's defence would look like if the Blues get Kounde along with Kimbembe and sell Colwill, Alonso, Azpilicueta.

As you can see, the departure of Azpilicueta would leave Reece James without an experienced back-up. Jules Kounde could be played in a right wing-back position owing to his speed and ball-playing ability.

Other than that, Chelsea's squad depth would look really impressive if they manage to pull off deals for both Kimpembe and Kounde.
