Morata named as likely option for Chelsea if Aubameyang deal falls through

Chelsea are likely to move for Alvalro Morata if their attempt to sign Aubameyang crashes against a wall, per Daily Mail (h/t Diario Sport).

Morata has been up and about since leaving Chelsea in 2020 for €35m. He was shipped on loan to Juventus, where he scored 32 goals in two season.

He's started the season in sizzling form for Atletico Madrid, netting a brace in their opening Liga fixture against Getafe.

However, Morata's name is an unwelcome distraction at this point. He scored 24 goals in 72 games for the Blues and was identified with his 'big misses'

Chelsea have their sights locked on Aubameyang - a former Tuchel student - with some reports claiming the Blues have reached an agreement to sign the Gabonese.
