Chelsea and Brighton come to agreement for permanent transfer of Gilmour: The Athletic

As per The Athletic, Chelsea have agreed to sell Billy Gilmour to Brighton in a deadline day departure. The fee is reported to be in the region of £9 million.

The two clubs came to an agreement for a permanent deal because the according to Premier League rules you can only loan no more than one player from the same club.

Brighton have already signed Levi Colwill on a loan move and so there was no possibility for the same for Gilmour.
