'Sad day ... he made the impossible possible': Rudiger reacts to Tuchel sacking

"I was surprised, it was a sad day for me," Antonio Rudiger told Sport1 when asked about his feelings about Chelsea firing Thomas Tuchel.

"When you look at where we came from and where he took us: He made the impossible possible. But that's football, you know how it works."

The Blues fired Tuchel after a 1-0 defeat against Zagreb following a run of poor results and performances.

Rudiger left Chelsea in June, joining Real Madrid on free agency.
