Christopher Vivell 'on the verge' of becoming Chelsea sporting director - his duties revealed

Chelsea are close to announcing Christopher Vivell as their new sporting director, claims Sky Sports Germany.

Only a few small details have to be clarified before the 35-year-old can start his work at Stamford Bridge.

Todd Boehly pushed to get him and the Blues are now on the verge of officially confirming his role.

Vivell’s responsibilities at Chelsea will be similar to what it was during his time at RB Leipzig: handle squad planning and transfer negotiations.

His work is likely to start from the January transfer window, where Chelsea might go dipping to add more quality to their squad.
