Declan Rice to leave West Ham in 2023, two clubs ahead of Chelsea in transfer race (reliability: 5 stars)

Chelsea are interested in signing Declan Rice next summer, Matt Law reports via the London Is Blue podcast. Two unnamed Premier League clubs are ahead of Chelsea in the race for the 23-year-old.

The midfielder is poised to leave West Ham in 2023. He has no intention of extending his contract with the Hammers. His current deal expires in 2024 and

West Ham understand they have to sell the Englishman in the summer to get a fee for him. They are prepared to let him go for around £70m.

Rice has made 15 league appearances for West Ham so far this season, scoring a goal and providing two assists.
