Dumfries reacts to Chelsea links after MOTM performance to lead Netherlands to World Cup quarter-finals

Denzel Dumfries played the game of a lifetime as Netherlands beat USA 3-1 in the round of 16 of the World Cup.

Dumfries scored one goal and assisted two to send the Dutch through.

He was asked about a possible transfer to Chelsea as he picked up the man of the match award and he replied:

"Of course it’s a compliment. But when you put the Nerazzurri shirt on that is also a big compliment. I’m focused on the national team and I play for a very, very beautiful club in Italy.

"I’m very proud that I can play for Inter so I am focused on nothing else but the national team and Inter."

The 26-year-old plays as a right back for Inter and right midfielder for the Netherlands at the World Cup.
