Injury expert says when Fofana will be back in Chelsea squad

Wesley Fofana has missed the World Cup and a number of Chelsea games due to injury in the first half of the season. Graham Potter had earlier stated that his knee is not as bad as initially anticipated.

Injury expert Ben Dinnery told Give Me Sport that the player can be expected to return soon.

"He was another one, the defender was probably touch and go on his availability for France.

“It would have been a gamble for Didier Deschamps to include him, and ultimately, they have quite a bit of strength in depth in that department as well, and the decision was probably made on the strength of that.

“But in terms of his availability for Chelsea, we would expect him to be back and fully integrated within that mini pre-season programme and, once those Premier League fixtures resume, he should be pushing and back in contention for the Blues.”

Good news that most of our injured players are recovering and will be fit to play when the PL resumes.. Just a shame Kantes is taking a lot longer and progress is slower.. Keep working hard guys 💙

Unless he has there medical notes, images and labs he has no way to know when they will be back or their progress

I don't know why but I have a feeling these reaccouring injuries can and should be avoided. This is the second time in a row we see James and Chilwell miss big chunks of the season, down to injuries. We used to have the best medical team in the world at one stage who would give proper advice to minimize the crises, where are they now? gone, everyone is gone, I am loosing fate in new owners rapidly.

There's nothing the medical team can do.Both James and Chilwell are injury prone, together with Kante.Tbe only thing Chelsea can do is to get their replacements in case of another injury.
