OFFICIAL: Sterling to return to England camp before France clash

Raheem Sterling will return to the England camp in Qatar ahead of the World Cup quarterfinal against France, the FA confirms.

"Raheem Sterling will return to England’s World Cup base in Qatar," the statement said.

"The Chelsea forward temporarily left to attend to a family matter but is now expected to rejoin the squad in Al Wakrah on Friday (9 December) ahead of the quarter-final with France."

As per the latest reports, Sterling flew back to England after learning that his house was robbed. He planned to return to Qatar after he made sure that his family was well and safe.
