Chelsea could try to hijack Arsenal move for £85m-valued winger Mykhailo Mudryk (reliability: 5 stars)

According to The Guardian, Chelsea are interested in Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk who is known to be Arsenal's priority target in January.

The Blues are looking to strengthen their attack next month. While they've already arranged the deal for RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku, he's not expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge until the next summer.

As for Mudryk, he impressed for Shakhtar in the Champions League, scoring three goals and providing two assists in six games at the group stage.

Arsenal have already submitted the first bid worth around £50m. Shakhtar, however, are holding out for £85m for the 21-year-old Ukraine international.

Chelsea are interested but are yet to make a serious push for Mudryk, as they prioritise other deals.

Currently, they are focused on talks with Benfica over the transfer of Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez who has emerged as a key target for Graham Potter.
