14 shirt numbers may soon become available at Chelsea after potential clearout

Chelsea have made several signings in January - and have not even stopped - which means that a clearout is inevitable.

It's easier to perform and more like to happen in the summer - although Chelsea are certainly listening to offers for some of these players this month.

Here's the list of some of the numbers that could become available in the coming months.

No.5. Jorginho is reportedly expected to leave as a free agent after five years at Stamford Bridge.

No.6. Thiago Silva is yet to extend his contract with the Blues. Chelsea are interested in retaining their best centre-back, but there's still a possibility that the 38-year-old decides to leave.

No.7. N'Golo Kante is now as likely to stay at Chelsea as he is to leave. However, as his contract is still not extended, he has to be included in this list by default.

No.9. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's transfer was a punt that did not work out. Chelsea would not mind taking him off their wage bill.

No.10. Christian Pulisic suffered an injury at an unfortunate time as new players increase competition in his area. His departure can't be ruled out.

No.11. Joao Felix has only joined Chelsea on loan this month and made only one if very eventful appearance. The Blues can make his transfer permanent - but they won't necessarily do that.

No.12. Ruben Loftus-Cheek's future is uncertain: he is a highly-paid player who is not a starting Xi regular.

No.13. Marcus Bettinelli's contract with Chelsea expires this summer, but he could well remain as a third-choice keeper.

No.16. Contract talks with Edouard Mendy hit an impasse, so there's a chance Chelsea cash in on the keeper who has become the second choice under Graham Potter.

No.20. Denis Zakaria is in a similar position to Joao Felix. Chelsea will be able to keep him - but they'll only do it if he hits the ground running after recovery.

No.22. Hakim Ziyech is available for transfer this month already. In the summer, he'll be most certainly gone.

No.23. Conor Gallagher remains linked with clubs like Newcastle and Crystal Palace and might depart if he does not play regularly until the end of the season.

No.28. Cesar Azpilicueta is past his best but will only be let go if Chelsea finally get a decent backup for Reece James.

No.29. Kai Havertz has been frustrating Chelsea fans for the past few months and is linked with a summer move to Bayern Munich.
