Chelsea set to make £30m bid for Gusto - but Lyon have interesting condition (reliability: 3 stars)

Chelsea are ready to make an improved bid of £30m to sign Malo Gusto from Lyon, claims the Daily Mail.

However, the Ligue 1 side are only ready to sell him if they’re able to loan the right-back until the end of the season.

Chelsea are against this idea, because Graham Potter wants to reinforce his options in the right-back position.

With Reece James struggling with injuries and Cesar Azpilicueta out of form, the gaffer’s been forced to play Trevoh Chalobah in that role.

Gusto is regarded as one of the most promising right-backs in France and has made 15 appearances for Lyon this season, registering an assist.
