‘You go back to how much they’ve spent, £600m, and that will keep getting mentioned," Jamie Carragher said on Sky Sports after Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Fulham.
"But the thing that leaves you scratching your head a little bit is: they haven’t got a striker!
"They’ve spent £600m without really buying a striker. I know they’ve got Nkunku coming next season but there’s nothing really there right now.
"It looks like Aubameyang is not in the Champions League squad either. So it does feel really glaring that one big position for them on the pitch."
After scoring just once in the Premier League, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks to be a castaway in the Blues' squad right now - he was even allowed to go to Italy for the weekend before the game.
Carragher is not completely right, though: one of Chelsea's January signings was David Datro Fofana who even made his debut against Fulham. This transfer is one for the future rather than right now, though.
