Gvardiol, Caicedo, Kante: Romano provides fresh Chelsea transfer update

Fabrizio Romano has provided several updates on Chelsea's transfer plans.

Gvardiol: “Chelsea remain interested in Josko Gvardiol, he’s a player they really appreciate. Other clubs are now in the race as well, with Liverpool approaching Leipzig over Gvardiol in January, and Manchester City are absolutely in the race too."

Caicedo: “I think top clubs will try again to sign him in the summer, contract extension helps Brighton for sure but doesn’t change the situation for the summer: top clubs will be there.”

Loftus-Cheek: “[RLC] has chances to leave Chelsea in the summer, depending on the proposals of course. AC Milan have not approached his agents or Chelsea at this stage; many clubs follow and appreciate the player but it’s not something concrete now.”

The reporter has also added that N'Golo Kante is 'very close' to agreeing a new contract with the Blues.
