‘He deserves better from us’: Chelsea fans name biggest positive from Everton draw

Chelsea played out a 2-2 draw against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues looked set to get a narrow win, before a Kepa Arrizabalaga error helped the Toffees get a point late on.

Despite the disappointment, Enzo Fernandez again produced a superb performance from midfield.

The Argentine had 90% passing accuracy and created two chances too. He also made 3 tackles and won 6/9 ground duels against Everton.

Some Chelsea fans have been extremely impressed by his heroics, as they reacted on Twitter.

ConnCFC: “Enzo Fernandez is an absolute superstar. That’s the tweet.”

Gabby: “This guy is just world class.”

CFCDatro: “Enzo Fernandez is ridiculously good bruv. Wtf.”

Janty: “Another player who barely does anything wrong and you simply cannot hate. Enzo Fernández. He deserves better from us.”

CFCMod: “Enzo Fernandez is an absolutely incredible footballer man. Never ceases to amaze me.”

Kaz: “Enzo Fernández may go down as the only expensive Prem signing that was 1000% worth it.”

The fact is 1. Kepa can not be trusted, and he is unreliable. every time he is number 1 and gets called to the Spanish team, he slacks 2. Potter isn't a tactician. 3. Potter favors English homegrown players and check his substitutions . All of them unwarranted if he was planning on keeping the scoreline he would have strengthened the midfield by bringing Kante and then closing odd everything . 4. Koulibaly is being blamed for going out of his way to cover for Chalobah on the 2nd goal. 5. Enzo is our biggest asset right now, and we can't wait to see him being paired with Kante. 6. We still need Mendy to compete with Kepa he must not be sold. 7. Mudryk needs to be given more playing time. 8. Lastly, we need a proper number 9 to score goals. we don't have any right now besides Aubemayang

currently kepa is mistakes prone, the sub was terrible and potter is still not looking for ways to kill games off

What a load of rubbish. Kepa has been Chelsea's second most effective player this season after Thiago Silva and has saved us on many occasions. Very few goalkeepers if any would have saved Everton's second goal. it was point blank from about 12 meters and he got a hand to it. Every goal that we concede gets blamed on him by ignorant fans who don't understand the art of goalkeeping. He has been excellent for us this season.

Please note that the two best goalkeepers in the Premier League make so called errors quite frequently.

Totally disagree. The error for goal number 2 was with Koulibaly not Kepa. Once Elliott Sims was in that position the odds were on him not the goalkeeper. The Kepa positives far outweigh the negatives. Alison Becker and Ederson are the two best goalkeepers in the Premier League and from time to time they make errors. That does not make them bad keepers. Unlike other positions on the field if the goalkeeper is beaten it is fatal but not necessarily his fault.

I think you wrong there. the error for goal number 2 was Chalobah who was nowhere to be seen and Koulibaly tried to cover up for him and now he is taking the slack. and worsw Kepa should even have done better as a keeper. I never said we should sell Kepa or anything of that sort, all I am saying he can't be relied upon Kepa is back being Kepa

I agree that Chalobah was also culpable in the build up. but once Sims was through he was always favourite to score. it was not a goalkeeper error. He simply got a hand to a point blank shot. This is where the majority of people err. They expect every shot that gets anywhere near the goalkeeper to be saved. You wouldn't say that the goalkeeper should have saved it if it had been one of our players. By that logic Pickford should have saved Jaoa Felix's shot.

No I said hw should have done better as a goalkeeper. I mean Chalobah had been caught and Koulibaly ran and tried his best surely Kepa should have done better . Pickford did save Everton the scoreline in the 1st half could have been more if it wasn't for him and offside

No. It was point blank and he got a hand to the ball which sometimes goes in and at other times does not. This time it did not but the goal was just not his fault. From that distance it is largely a matter of chance rather than skill so you have to average those situations out over the season and he is definitely above par and not below par.

Fernandez is an outstanding midfielder and a coach like Potter doesn't deserve Enzo 💯
