Select Car Leasing Stadium & 4 other venues Chelsea could play at for 4 years while new Stamford Bridge being built

Chelsea are planning to build a new £2bn, 60000-seater stadium at Stamford Bridge, the Daily Mail reports.

The redevelopment would take four years, during which Chelsea will be forced to play at another ground.

The Daily Mail say that the Blues have five stadiums they could play at during the construction of the new Stamford Bridge.

1. Select Car Leasing Stadium. Also known as Madejski Stadium, it is Reading's home ground. Chelsea fans may not be happy with the commute outside London though.

2. Wembley. Tottenham used the national team stadium during the construction of New White Hart Lane and Chelsea could do that, too. However, there were protests among local residents against Spurs playing there so it could complicate the issue.

3. Craven Cottage. Fulham's stadium is located very close to the Bridge so the promixity to the historic ground would be a huge positive for the fans. However, Craven Cottage hosts just 22,384 people.

4. Twickenham. The world's largest rugby stadium is under consideration as well, although 'fierce opposition from local politicians and residents' could be a problem.

5. London Stadium. West Ham's home ground is a nice option but the Hammers fans may not be happy with sharing their stadium considering the rivarly between the clubs.
