Chelsea announce pre-season friendly against National League leaders Wrexham in USA

Chelsea have added another fixture to their pre-season tour in the United States.

The Blues will face National League side Wrexham who are owned by Hollywood actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds and growing popular across the pond.

The game will take place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on July 19.

Tom Glick, Chelsea's president of business, said: "We are delighted to return to North Carolina as part of our US tour this summer, and play in what I'm sure will be a fantastic atmosphere at Kenan Stadium.

"Our strong US fanbase support us incredibly all year round and we are looking forward to meeting them in Chapel Hill."

Earlier, it has been confirmed that Chelsea will take part in the Premier League Summer Series tournament where they will face Brighton, Newcastle and Fulham. It will start on July 22.
