Chelsea play intra-squad game: Senior team XI revealed, Poch & Eghbali chat spotted

Chelsea hosted an open training session on Wednesday evening while on tour in the United States.

It included a mock game between a senior and youth teams, with Nizaar Kinsella reporting on what the senior XI looked like:

Bergstrom; Gilchrist, Thiago Silva, Hall, Chilwell; Gallagher, Burstow, Angelo; Nkunku, Dujuan, Sterling.

"Enzo, Mudryk and Colwill are now resting," he tweeted.

So apparently this is how the team lined up. Interesting that Burstow and Angelo, both attackers, had to play in the midfield.

Here's what the game looked like as it took place on a shortened pitch. In a short clip posted by Kinsella, there's music playing and overall a very chilled atmosphere.

"Interesting watching how advanced Pochettino’s full backs are with very narrow wingers," Kinsella added.

After the game, Poch was spotted having a conversation with co-owner Behdad Eghbali and sporting director Paul Winstanley.
