Conor Gallagher stole the show in Chelsea's 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace, scoring two goals to give the Blues a victory in what proved to be a difficult game.

The England international was given the official Man of the Match award for his performance.

Speaking after the game, the midfielder told Sky Sports: "In the second half, the gaffer gave us more structure in their half of the pitch to create more chances. Having the two strikers to make more runs in behind to create more space which I think it did.

"It was really good from the manager, it definitely helped us play better in the second half.

"When we scored early in the second half, it was the thought of ‘we’ve got to go and win it now’. To get that goal, and then Enzo got one as well, it was an amazing feeling.

"I've played in a number of positions this season, more so holding midfield. I'm happy to play anywhere for the manager. I'm happy wherever I play. No problem."

Pochettino has worked things out at the club, tactical positioning can and has worked well again. He has an extremely young bunch of lads here and as every expert amongst you fans should be able to comprehend, sometimes with youngsters you have to repeat and repeat several times before it sinks in with their excitable habits! In other words it has taken time for our Head Coach's wisdom to become effective, it won't always be successful but Pochettino has it under control, that is something that many of you simply cannot see. 💙💙💙⚽️⚽️💙💙💙

Agree but it was clear even to me that players needed to run behind the defence, forwards and midfielders but it didn't happen. You can make adjustments during a half too. Players should also recognise this. I am not one of those who thinks Poch should go, quite the opposite but he was needed on the sideline yesterday talking to the players and changing tactics

I thought I was dreaming when I saw Poch standing on the sideline giving instructions to the players. He hardly does that. Our boys are good but you need to put them on their toes throughout the match. That's the secret of Athletico Madrid. Their coach is the twelfth man on the pitch.
