Chelsea have 9 keepers on the books - what future holds for each of them

Chelsea have signed young goalkeeper Mike Penders, spending €20m on the Belgian. This brings the total amount of shot-stoppers on their books to 9. Here is the squad status of each of them.

Robert Sanchez. Contract until 2030. First-choice keeper under Maresca.

Filip Jorgensen. Contract until 2031. Expected to fight with Sanchez for the no. 1 position.

Djordje Petrovic. Contract until 2031. Available for loan or sale but a stay is not ruled out. In that case, will compete with Sanchez and Jorgensen.

Marcus Bettinelli. Contract until 2026. The 32-year-old is likely to stay as a third-choice goalkeeper.

Lucas Bergstrom. Contract until 2025. In talks with Blackpool over a loan move.

Kepa Arrizabalaga. Contract until 2025. Will sign a new deal through to 2026 and join Bournemouth on a season-long loan.

Mike Penders. Contract until 2032. Will stay at Genk until the summer of 2025.

Gabriel Slonina. Contract until 2028. Currently on loan with Barnsley until the end of the season.

Eddie Beach. Contract until 2025. The 20-year-old joined Crawley Town on loan until the end of the season after spending the pre-season with the senior squad.
