In a revealing interview at 'El Transistor' show, La Masia director Patrick Kluivert has opened up on the reason for Victor Valdes's early dismissal.
"The dismissal of Victor Valdes? I put it aside because it was a personal thing. Things have not gone well.
"I feel sorry because I played with him and never had any problems," claims ex-Blaugrana forward.
As a reminder, Victor Valdes was fired after just two months at the club. While he was involved in many controversies, it was apparently the conflict with the academy director Patrick Kluivert that was decisive for the dismissal.
Reportedly, La Masia boss got angry at Victor when the coach started giving him a lesson in tactics. The former goalkeeper reportedly told him to let him work and that he (Kluivert) isn't an example of anything. Previous reports claim the two started shouting at each other.
Besides, the coach has been involved in a series of controversies on and off the pitch.
