Juventus said to be in talks with Barcelona over potential Todibo-De Sciglio swap

According to Calciomercato, Juventus and Barcelona are currently negotiating over the potential deal which would see Jean-Clair Todibo exchanged for Mattia de Sciglio.

Moreover, the Bianconeri are now allowed to start talks with Todibo's agents.

The Italian source confirms that the two sides are discussing several potential swap deals, including the Arthur-Pjanic option. However, the Brazilian's unwillingness to leave complicate the operation. The Todibo-De Sciglio exchange appears to be more possible.

Todibo is currently on loan at Schalke who are unlikely to afford his €25m permanent switch. That's why the Catalans are planning to use the centre-back as a makeweight in other operations.

Since the January move, Todibo has made eight appearances for Schalke. His most recent match was the disastrous 4-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund. The Frenchman only managed the first 45 minutes before being taken off due to a muscle problem.

As for De Sciglio, he was reportedly offered to Barcelona during the Arthur-Pjanic negotiations. The 27-year-old full-back is no longer wanted by the Bianconeri. He has only made 12 appearances this term.

De Sciglio has long been discussed by the Barcelona-based news outlets. His versatility has reportedly attracted Quique Setien's interest. The 27-year-old can occupy both left and right flanks. Even though he has a strong right foot, the Italian has been mostly used as a left-back this term.
