Serie A assault: What Barca XI may look like after reported Semedo swap with Juventus

On Sunday, Diario Sport made a bold claim that Juventus and Barcelona agreed on the swap deal which would see Nelson Semedo joining the Bianconeri for €25m. Meanwhile, Miralem Pjanic and Mattia de Sciglio would move to Barca.

Here is how Barcelona starting line-up could look if this swap deal really happens:

Barca XI: Ter Stegen; Alba, Lenglet, Pique, De Sciglio; De Jong, Busquets, Pjanic; Griezmann, Suarez, Messi.

De Sciglio would directly replace Semedo at the right-back position. By the way, the versatile defender could also play at the left-back position which means he could serve as Jordi Alba's back-up if necessary.

In fact, this season, De Sciglio has made seven appearances as a left-back while he has featured as a right-back five times. However, the 27-year-old is no longer a regular player at Juventus.

As for Pjanic, the Bosnian would replace Ivan Rakitic in the midfield. The 30-year-old has a strong right foot while the Croatian is expected to leave as well.

We would also like to include Lautaro Martinez in Barca's potential starting XI as the Catalans have reportedly intensified their efforts to land the Argentinian striker.

Barca's line-up with Lautaro instead of Luis Suarez:

Inter's striker has bagged 16 goals and 4 assists for the Nerazzurri across all competitions so far this season.
