Shisha bar, girlfriend's 18th birthday, sex party & more: 16 (!) stupidest ways footballers broke lockdown rules

The Coronavirus outbreak has disrupted the world and football was no stranger to these changes implemented. Governments have stopped leagues from playing, and the lockdown has bored more than one.

However, the governments' guidelines should be respected by everyone, even footballers. Some of them may not have taken the hint and have broken lockdown rules for some stupid reasons.

Morgan Gibbs-White

Morgan Gibbs-White is a talented youngster coming through the ranks at Molineux. However, he might have shot himself in the foot after he was seen on Snapchat attending a Bank Holiday party with Love Island stars.

What makes it worse is the fact his girlfriend stated on her Youtube channel that they were leaving town, but they weren't going to see people. A travesty for the youngster who has received an adequate fine for his doings. Now back in training, Gibbs-White will want to show his worth and put this silly event behind him.

Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker has made the headlines for two stupid incidents in the past few weeks. The first came a day before he urged fans to stay at home. The Manchester City defender hosted a sex party at his house with his friend and had to apologise after he was caught red-handed.

The second one came when he drove to Sheffield from Manchester to visit his sister. The defender was hounded on social media after photos of him hugging his sister made the headlines. He then came out to justify himself, even though he was wrong. He also stated that he visited his mother to get some food.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Another talented Englishman, another travesty, Callum Hudson-Odoi, was one of the first players who tested positively for CoVid-19. It put the whole Chelsea squad in 14-day self-isolation, and it seems like as soon as he was back fit, CHO had the brilliant idea to break lockdown rules.

Hudson-Odoi was with a model who he met online, and the Englishman might have shot himself in the foot because the woman called an ambulance at 4 in the morning. There is an ongoing case to see if CHO raped the model, and if it turns out true, he can throw his Chelsea future down the bin.

Mason Mount

After Hudson-Odoi was diagnosed with the Coronavirus, the whole Chelsea squad was put in self-isolation and rightfully so.

However, Mason Mount still went on to play a five-a-side game near Barnet with his friend Declan Rice and Chelsea were forced to remind their players of the guidelines to follow during self-isolation.

Jose Mourinho and three Spurs players

Jose Mourinho is an exigent head coach. He's so demanding that he even broke lockdown rules to train at a public park with new signing Tanguy Ndombele, youngster Ryan Sessegnon and Davinson Sanchez. To add insult to injury, the three Spurs players breached the two-meter distancing rule.

Later, the Special One admitted that it was a stupid decision and that health comes before football. He urged people to help the NHS and that everyone had their part to play.

Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko

Serge Aurier is walking on thin ice regarding his Tottenham future. The problematic defender breached the government's guidelines on no less than three occasions.

He began by being pictured on Instagram running alongside one of his friends. The second incident came when he filmed himself training alongside fellow teammate Moussa Sissoko. Aurier was running with a mask on but the two players then sat next to each other, not respecting the social distancing rules.

The Ivory Coast international then posted a picture of him on Instagram with a barber, Justin Carr. This is another breach to lockdown rules as all barbers are closed and social distancing must be respected by everyone in the country. He is facing another fine for his third incident.

Four Arsenal players

Arsenal had to remind their players their responsibilities when it came to the CoVid-19 after four players decided to breach the lockdown rules.

Nicolas Pepe was the first to get caught. The Ivorian was seen playing football with some friends in North London, of course not social distancing and without any precautions.

After Pepe, it was another French-speaking attacker. Alexandre Lacazette was caught washing his car with a Valet company. He interacted with a valet who visited his property to clean the vehicle.

Similarly to the Spurs incident, David Luiz and Granit Xhaka were seen training in a park in Southgate while not applying social distancing rules. Arsenal couldn't be angrier with their players and seriously took matters into their own hands, reminding their players on WhatsApp their duties.

Amine Harit

Amine Harit is another bright talent plying his trade at Schalke, and the Moroccan has caught the eye this season. However, much like Gibbs-White, the attacking midfielder broke lockdown rules for a stupid reason.

The former Nantes player was seen visiting a shisha bar, not the brightest idea for a football player. Schalke were understandably angry with their youngster and decided to fine him 100,000 Euros for his doings. A sanction that might seem excessive but is necessary to teach the players.

Douglas Costa

Douglas Costa was given permission to head back to his native country amid the rapidly growing spread in Italy. The Juve directors asked him to self-isolate for 14 days because Daniele Rugani was one of the first players diagnosed with the Coronavirus.

However, they were angered at their Brazilian winger as he was seen biking in his hometown with his girlfriend. His future at the Italian club is being considered by Andrea Agnelli.

Luka Jovic

Luka Jovic's Real Madrid career has been disappointing, to say the least. After months of warming the bench, the Serbian's Los Blancos future is in turmoil due to his bad behaviour regarding the lockdown rules.

He was allowed to leave Spain to see his pregnant girlfriend but did not know that he could not leave his house whatsoever. The former Eintracht Frankfurt goalscorer is set to appear before a public prosecutor, with a punishment going from a 1,275 Euros fine to a three-year prison sentence.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic then heavily criticised Jovic and other footballers stating that "Millionaires think, wrongly, that they can do whatever they want."

Jovic also came back from lockdown with a broken foot after exercising at home.

Fedor Smolov

Fedor Smolov's Celta Vigo career has been less than good, but the Russian managed to grab the headlines during the confinement.

He was advised to stay in Spain but took a private jet to celebrate his girlfriend's 18th birthday. The forward reportedly asked for permission many times but could not leave because La Liga did not authorise it.

Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish is not the wisest player of all time as he has made many mistakes as a younger player. The Englishman defied lockdown rules to meet with his friends and was spotted at the scene of a road accident. Aston Villa then released a statement criticising Grealish's behaviour heavily.

The talented forward then went to Twitter to apologize for his actions and stated that he felt embarrassed to have put himself in this situation.

Moise Kean

Moise Kean's time at Everton has not been encouraging, and the Italian is not doing his best to change his fortunes at Goodison Park.

The former Juve youngster filmed himself at a party in his apartment. Everton were believed to be appalled at his behaviour and have disciplined the striker adequately. Kean has since made himself quiet.

Neymar

Neymar is a man that loves to party. The Brazilian was given permission to leave France, and with the French League season being cut short, there isn't much more to see from him in 19/20.

Back in Brazil, Neymar was reportedly self-isolating with members of his family and some close friends. However, his personal chef filmed him with three other people and posted it on Instagram. Amongst those people was Dj Barbara Lopes who reportedly lives in the same area as the PSG player.

Brazil is a country that has suffered from a big number of Coronavirus cases and the 28-year-old has received criticism for not taking lockdown seriously.

Four Sevilla players

Much like Arsenal and Spurs, Sevilla is another club that has seen multiple employees disobey the government's guidelines.

Pictured in a gathering of 12 people, Ever Banega, Lucas Ocampos, Franco Vazquez and Luuk de Jong broke the rules and were quick in deleting the pictures on Ever's partner's Instagram account.

The former Valencia player then issued an apology on Instagram. Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, commented on the matter but was reluctant in saying whether or not the players will get a sanction for their actions.

Marcos Rojo

Marcos Rojo is on loan at his boyhood club Estudiantes, and the World Cup finalist keeps making the headlines since his return.

Lately, a video of the defender playing cards and smoking with friends leaked on Instagram. The video appeared on his brother's account and it looked like Rojo was playing with five or six males around an outdoor table.

Much like Harit, breaching lockdown rules and smoking is never a good look on footballers.
