- Lazio, who are competing for the Serie A title at the moment, lost 2-1 to relegation-threatened Lecce on Wednesday.
- Former Barca B centre-back Patric couldn't contain his frustrations at the end of the game, pulled out his inner Luis Suarez and bit opposing right-back Giulio Donati on his arm.
- The incident was instantly reviewed and the Barcelona Academy graduate was sent off.
- According to the Disciplinary Commission's decision, Patric has been banned for Lazio's next 4 Serie A games and fined €10,000.
- A sporting judge has noted that the bite didn't do any harm to Donati.
- The Lecce defender has also revealed that he forgave Patric as soon as latter apologised straight after the incident.
- Suarez was punished much more severely back in the day: the Uruguayan was given a 10-match Premier League ban and a 4-month global suspension after biting Branislav Ivanovic and Giorgio Chiellini respectively.
