'Being faithful to our style is the only way to win': Barca B boss Garcia Pimienta looks forward to Segunda play-off
  • Pimienta is looking forward to the play-off after a great season with his young team.
  • He anticipates a difficult game against Valladolid B.
  • The coach regrets that Alex Collado won't be able to help the team because of an injury.

"We want to be protagonists and have the ball and be faithful to our style because it is the only way that we will have options to win," said Garcia Pimienta ahead of the play-off clash against Real Valladolid B on Sunday.

“We arrived at the playoffs with a lot of desire to enjoy this opportunity. The players have earned it throughout the season. Being second with the young squad that we have is an award for everyone and we look forward to the game against Valladolid Promises with great desire," added the Barca B boss.

"We know how difficult the game will be because it is a team with great players of a somewhat older average age, who have had a very good season in their Segunda B group."

The coach also added that he regrets the loss of Alex Collado to an injury because "he has been a very important part of the team in these last two seasons".

Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig and Ronald Araujo also won't be helping Barca B in their play-off games, staying with the first team instead.

It means that Pimienta only has 12 Barca B players at his disposal ahead of the game against Real Valladolid. 9 Juvenil A players have joined his outfit to make up for the losses.
