"He was seriously looking at it (leaving). Then, there was what we know happened and a conversation with Ronald Koeman reassured him, that he was part of his plans, that he considered him as an important player for the future."
The 29-year-old joined from Atletico Madrid only last summer for €120m. In his debut season at Barcelona, Griezmann recorded 15 goals and four assists in 48 matches.
