De Jong tips some Dutch players to be 'best in the world': Here are 5 who could become ones at Barca

There are two players that Barca would benefit from having right away!

"We have a lot of players who are in the process of being the best in the world and who are now world-class. There are also many young talents who will emerge in the coming years," A Bola quote Frenkie de Jong saying. have compiled a list of five players that have the potential to become world-class and who could do so while playing at Camp Nou.

Matthijs is perhaps the most predictable player on the list. Barcelona wanted him back in 2019 but the centre-back chose Juventus. However, he has never closed the door to Barca and considering the good relationship between the two clubs, it wouldn't be a surprise if De Ligt eventually ends up at Camp Nou.

The 21-year-old is the player Barca would benefit the most from having right now, as we really need at centre-forward to replace Luis Suarez. Malen is already a goalscoring machine, as he recorded 17 goals and 9 assists in 25 matches for PSV last term. Unfortunately, he had to undergo knee surgery, which kept him out for the second part of the season.

We understand that the Catalans' midfield is already overbooked, but there's always room for players that possess as big of a talent as Ihattaren. At only18, he is already a regular starter for PSV. Last season, the Dutchman recorded nine goals and nine assists in 34 matches.

Boadu is already the undisputed starter at AZ despite being only 19 years old. Just like Malen, Myron could solve Barca's problems at centre-forward. Boadu scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists in 39 appearances last season.

The 19-year-old made his national team debut last year under Ronald Koeman, so the coach might be ready to trust him with an important role at Barca as well.

Justin could follow the footsteps of his father and join Barcelona at some point in his career. The 21-year-old was a regular starter at AS Roma last season, where he recorded seven goals and two assists in 31 matches. Now he's on loan at RB Leipzig, where he should be given even more action.
