"Messi is fine at Barcelona, he plays with people who play pretty good football and he is very calm," Josep Minguella told Esport3.

"He wants to win the World Cup and in England, with higher physical potential, it wouldn't be the best place to prepare," the former agent added, referring to the rumours linking Leo with Manchester City.

The next World Cup tournament in Qatar will take place between November and December 2022 due to the weather conditions in the country. Messi will be 35 then.
