Two La Masia players were better at free-kicks then Leo Messi - here's what happened to them since
8
- "Victor Vazquez, who was amazing, and the left-footed Juanjo Clausi used to take them [free-kicks]. Messi almost never," former La Masia player Roger Giribet has said in an interview with Goal.
- Vazquez had gone on to play three games for Barcelona's first-team before being sold to Club Brugge in 2011.
- The attacking midfielder even scored one goal for the Catalans in the Champions League win over Rubin Kazan in 2010.
- After his spells at Cruz Azul (Mexico), Toronto FC (Canada) and Umm Salal (Qatar), Vazquez moved to KAS Eupen last summer.
- The Belgian outfit terminated the 34-year-old's contract after just two months and Victor remains a free agent since then.
- As for Clausi, he has never made it at the top-flight level.
- After leaving Barca's reserves for Catarroja CF in 2006, the left winger has changed 15 clubs in the Spanish lower leagues.
- The 33-year-old now represents the Tercera Division side Paterna CF.
