Barca fans spot Braithwaite-like person in 2014 Clasico photo – Messi scored 3 that night

"What was Braithwaite doing there?" Barcelona fan and Twitter user KratosCule has tweeted, pinning a pic from the 2014 Clasico.

Indeed, this man really looks like Martin Braithwaite. That year, the Dane was enjoying his first season at Toulouse which is located in the south of France.

The girl standing next to him is possibly his future wife Anne-Laure Louis – she was blonde back then.

Braithwaite, if this is he indeed, looks really impressed in that photo – no wonder, because he's witnessing Leo Messi scoring 3 against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Could he even imagine that he would one day share the pitch with the legendary Argentine?

'Such a sad moment': Braithwaite recalls being stuck in wheelchair as a child

Between the ages of 5 and 7, Martin Braithwaite had Legg-Calve-Perthes – a hip disorder that could've damaged his femur. Here's how he recalls this painful moment in life, as per CNN.

"I don't have a lot of memories because it's such a sad moment. You're looking at all the other kids running around, smiling, playing. It hurt. Obviously, it was a really tough period of my life.

"I remember the feeling of, how can you say... embarrassment...about being different. You didn't want this kind of attention," the Dane added.

Thankfully, things took a turn for the better and 23 years later, the forward joined Barcelona as a back-up striker where he's still trying to prove his worth. The 29-year-old has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists this season.

'When you know him close, He is just one of the boys': Braithwaite on Messi

"When you know him close, He is just one of the boys," Martin Braithwaite has said in an interview with BT of Lionel Messi.

"He's relaxed, calm and completely down to earth and normal. He likes to have fun and only thinks about playing football because it's what he loves doing."

Barcelona recently defeated Sevilla 3-0 at Camp Nou to progress to the Spanish Cup final after a 2-0 loss in the semi-final first leg in Seville.

The Catalans' team spirit was one of the main reasons for that comeback, according to the Dane.

"We have a fantastic team spirit," he added. "A dressing room with problems wouldn't be able capable of these comebacks. We're all together and we feel super good as a team."
