Last week, Spanish outlet ARA claimed that Barcelona have opened talks with Xavi Hernandez in a bid to appoint him at the helm of the club this summer.
Now, Diario Sport's Veronica Brunati and Albert Masnou have confirmed that ARA's initial report was true while saying that the ex-Barca captain is becoming a hot favourite to replace Ronald Koeman in the Camp Nou dugout at the end of the season.
As per the Catalan daily, Xavi arrives in Barcelona later on Monday and is set to meet with Joan Laporta in the next few days to discuss his appointment.
On the other hand, all these reports probably have nothing to do with reality as Xavi extended his contract with Al Sadd until 2023 earlier this month.
